Charette, Lise
Lise Charette obtained her degree in statistics from Laval University (B. Sc., 1988). From the completion of her studies until her retirement in 2024, she worked as a statistician in the biometrics team at the Direction de la recherche forestière. She is a solid and versatile collaborator in research projects on tree breeding, seedling production, as well as silviculture of natural forests and plantations. She participated in the design of experiments and the planning of data collection, conducted statistical data analyses, advised researchers on data interpretation and presentation, and was involved in writing reports for the research results. As a member of the organization’s scientific reviewing committee, she also oversaw the peer review of manuscripts. Her main areas of expertise include analysis of variance, experiment and data collection planning, mixed models, general linear models, quantitative genetics and forest growth and yield models.
