Houle, Daniel
Daniel Houle is a biologist who graduated from the University of Quebec at Montreal (UQAM) in 1985. In 1988, the same institution awarded him a master’s degree (M. Sc.). In 1995, he obtained a Philosophiæ Doctor (Ph. D) from the Institut national de recherche scientifique — Eau (INRS). From 1988 to 2020, he worked for the Direction de la recherche forestière as a researcher. His work focused on the fertility of forest soils and the nutrient balances of watersheds in relation to atmospheric pollution and climate change. Since 2003, he has also been the coordinator for the “forests and climate change” section at Ouranos.
