Following the appointment of the new Cabinet, the Forest Sector now reports to the ministère des Ressources naturelles et des Forêts, while the Wildlife and Parks Sectors report to the ministère de l'Environnement, de la Lutte aux changements climatiques, de la Faune et des Parcs. Adjustments will be made to the website over time.

Guillemette, François

François Guillemette is a forest engineering graduate from Laval University (B. Sc., 2001 and M. Sc., 2002). Since 2005, he has been employed by the Direction de la recherche forestière as a researcher on hardwood forestry. His work mainly deals with the dynamics of hardwood stands after partial cutting. He is particularly interested in young hardwood stands, in different classification systems for standing hardwood trees (quality, vigor, mortality risk) and in growth modelling (SaMARE model). He also studied the notion of diameter at maturity for hardwood trees.
