Godbout, Julie
Julie Godbout is a biologist who holds a doctorate in forest biology from Laval University (Ph. D., 2011). She first worked as a biologist, postdoctoral researcher and scientific researcher at the Centre de foresterie des Laurentides [Laurentian Forestry Centre] in Québec (Natural Resources Canada). Through her research projects, she uses genomic tools to understand the evolutionary history of different forest species. She also works on developing traceability tools. She specializes in population genetics, hybridization and adaptation of forest trees. Since July 2019, she has been a researcher in forest genetics at the Direction de la recherche forestière. Her work focuses on the adaptation to climate change of species used for reforestation in Québec.
