Moore, Jean-David

Jean-David Moore graduated as forest engineer from Laval University in 1996. In 1999, the same institution awarded him with a Master of Science. His master’s thesis focused on the effect of liming on the health of sugar maple trees. He began his career at the Direction de la recherche forestière, first as a student in 1994, then as a researcher in 1998. He is part of the ecosystems and environment research team. His current work focuses on liming in sugar maple stands and the effect of nitrogen depositions in the boreal forest. He also works on the red-backed salamander, one of the most abundant amphibians in hardwood and mixed forests of Québec and northeastern North America. He also has an interest in the effects of invasive species on forest ecosystems, particularly exotic worms.
