Following the appointment of the new Cabinet, the Forest Sector now reports to the ministère des Ressources naturelles et des Forêts, while the Wildlife and Parks Sectors report to the ministère de l'Environnement, de la Lutte aux changements climatiques, de la Faune et des Parcs. Lambert, Marie-Claude

Marie-Claude Lambert is a statistician who graduated from Laval University (B. Sc., 1996). In 1998, she received a master’s degree in science (M. Sc.) from the same establishment. From 1997 to 2006, she worked as an assistant statistician and took part mainly in the multidisciplinary project Extended COllaboration for Linking Ecophysiology And Forest Productivity (ECOLEAP) set up in April 1996 by the Canadian Forest Service. She developed national statistical models, including Canadian tree-scale above-ground biomass equations. Since 2006, she has been a part of the biometrics team at the Direction de la recherche forestière. She primarily collaborates to climate change research projects. Her main areas of expertise are linear models and their generalization.
