Périnet, Pierre

Pierre Périnet is a forest engineer who graduated from Laval University (B. Sc., 1977, M.Sc., 1983). From 1983 to 1989, he successively worked as a botanist at the Montréal’s Jardin botanique, as production manager at Rhizotec inc., as a researcher at the Petawawa National Forestry Institute and as project manager at the Pépinière forestière de Berthier. From 1989 until his retirement, he worked at the Direction de la recherche forestière as a researcher, first on tree cutting propagation and on indoor seed orchards (1989-1998), then on genetic improvement of poplars (1998-2019).
