Section 69

The distances referred to in section 67 and the first paragraph of section 68 are measured from the perimeter of the open peat bog with a pond, a marsh or a riparian swamp or from the upper limit of the shore of a lake or bank of a watercourse, as the case may be, to the foot of the embankment of the road situated closest to the environment to be protected.

The 20-m distance referred to in subparagraph 5 of the second paragraph of section 68 is measured from the perimeter of the open peat bog with a pond, a marsh or a riparian swamp or the upper limit of the shore of a lake or bank of a watercourse.

 Additional information

The distance (60 m or 30 m) is calculated based on the outermost limit of the stream’s ecotone. When present, the various open environments (open bog with pond, riparian shrub swamp) are part of the ecotone of the stream, lake or marsh.
