§4 – Maintenance of an area of stands on islands, in outfitting operations with exclusive rights, controlled zones and wildlife sanctuaries
At least 30% of the productive forest area constituted of stands of 7 m or more in height must be preserved at all times on an island of 250 to 500 ha.
- To preserve the integrity of a particular place or territory
- To ensure the renewal of the forest canopy
